Belinda Reid - Resolution

This exhibition of recent works by Belinda Reid evokes memory of place through a series of landscapes created through the deconstruction and reconstruction of imagery using digital, print and weaving processes.

Captivated by the process of deconstruction and reconstruction of imagery within printmaking she has further explored and extended these processes within the digital construction of source imagery and through the slicing and weaving of her prints. Her recent works begin to examine the consequence of scale on memory of place.

Belinda Reid is a Melbourne based artist originally from New Zealand. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (print making) at The Victorian College of the Arts in 2019.  She was awarded a Fiona Myer Award for her graduate exhibition. She was a finalist in Fresh 2019 (Craft Victoria), and was one of the recipients of the 2019 Craft Fresh! Sofitel Melbourne On Collins award.  She has works held in private and public collections both nationally and internationally.
