Queensland Children's Hospital - Visual Art Curators

Earlier this year Global Art Projects was engaged as visual arts experts on a specialist curatorial panel advising on artwork commissions and an ongoing Art-In-Health program for the new Queensland Children's Hospital (Brisbane). This exciting project is nearing the end of the first stage of consultation and we look forward to the next phase of artist commissioning.

Main Street, Point Cook

Also nearing completion is the great new artwork commission by artist Christine Eid and designer Stephen Banham. This project saw Christine and Stephen undertaking consultation with a wide range of individuals, organisations and community groups in Point Cook to generate stories which have informed the design of artist designed 'man-hole' covers for the main street of Point Cook.

Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

As consultant curators to Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, GAP organises an ongoing program of exhibitions for Melbourne's premier Hotel for the Arts. Currently on display are works by young VCA Masters student Kaori Kato who presents a fabulous folded red paper installation in the Lobby. Also on Level 1 are new works by Peter Atkins. And in collaboration with the Melbourne Art Fair and Sophie Gannon Gallery, we present a MAF Project Room of beautiful paintings by Emily Ferretti. Creating Timor-Leste, new photographs by East Timorese artist Jorge de Araujo is in the Atrium Gallery on Level 35.
