GAP Director Lisa Warrener was engaged by the Australia Council to provide expert advice to the Art Gallery of New South Wales on the development of Fluent, the exhibition of three Aboriginal women artists Yvonne Koolmatrie, Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Judy Watson which represented Australia at the 47th Venice Biennale in 1997.

This role included providing assistance and advice on installation, packing, crating, international customs, marketing, and organising official functions on-site.
